Choose the dock from the screen backward

A rigid adapter or tight fixed cable can place leverage on the handheld’s port. The cleanest-looking arrangement is not worth persistent connector strain.

Lenovo lists 65W USB-C PD 3.0 adapters for the original Legion Go. For a docked setup, read three different figures: charger output on the selected port, dock input limit, and power the dock can pass to the host after its own electronics and peripherals take a share.

The Legion Go exposes DisplayPort 1.4 through USB4. A dock may convert that signal to HDMI or expose a DisplayPort connector directly. Every conversion and cable can narrow the mode that reaches the screen.

Resolution

4K output support does not mean a demanding game should render internally at native 4K. Set the desktop and game separately when useful.

Refresh rate

A dock may support 4K/60 and 1080p/120 but not every combination in between. Confirm the exact output table.

HDR

HDR requires support and correct settings through the whole path. Prove standard dynamic range before adding it.

VRR

Legion Go dock not connecting to TV: ordered no-signal fixes

  1. Keep the internal screen available. Use the Legion Go display to save work and open Windows display settings rather than troubleshooting blind.
