Record the world and device state first

Valve lists a 40Wh battery for Steam Deck LCD and 50Wh for Steam Deck OLED. Those nominal capacities are calculator inputs, not proof that an older battery still holds its original usable energy. A repeatable Palworld battery route

  1. Finish updates first. Complete SteamOS, game, and shader downloads, restart, and record the exact game build and compatibility-tool selection.
  2. Restore the supported control. Start with Valve’s default and the Palworld Steam Deck settings baseline. Remove unexplained launch options, manual clocks, and recording from the first pass.
  3. Warm the same save. Load the chosen world, wait for visible background activity to settle, and discard the first pass if shader work or downloads are still active.
  4. Walk a populated base. Use the same route through crafting stations, storage, structures, and the same approximate number of working Pals.

Storage, saves, and travel planning

Steam currently lists 40GB of available storage, requires an SSD, and labels broadband internet, Steam Cloud, Workshop, multiplayer, online co-op, and cross-platform multiplayer.
